  1. The Answer is FALSE…….. This questions never ever appeared in real exam so no need to worry 🙂

  2. ok – just ask yourself the question : ” Where in the Scrum Guide did I read that there are ‘Release Sprints'” ans you will have your answer. There are NO “release” sprints. There are Sprints. Some of which will result in a release. Others may not. The choice is up to the Product Owner and will depend on several factors. For example, not releasing too often as create issues with the customer, bla bla bla. BUT…..NO specific “release Sprint’. Why would a “release sprint” demonstrate that you have a properly functionning Scrum Team? Euh…. Releasing into production has absolutely NOTHING to do with a sprint OR the increment produced.

So to confirm. Correct answer : B This is FALSE

    1. You have been to dramatic Maria, it must be hard to work with you :p… Respect and Openness are actually Scrum values, you should use them more when you are trying to explain something. But to be honest you are funny

      B it is.. check!

    c. Using Story Points
    d. Release Planning
    e. Using User Stories

    1. where did you get this question Ewa? Certainly not in an official Scrum.org exam…. But totally agree, you do NOT have either A, B or F

      However …..

You CAN use Story points (although nothing madates this), The Product Owner will probaly do Release Planning (although nothing mandates this) You CAN use User Stories (although again, nothing mandates this). The question you are showing will NEVER appear on an official Scrum.org exam, just to be clear for all

      1. ‘The question you are showing will NEVER appear on an official Scrum.org exam, just to be clear for all’ as if you are in the board setting up questions for PSM.
Just for the sake of readers, i had this exact question during my exam.
Please DYOR and stay away from self professed gurus of scrum.

    1. This answer you give Nicole DOES NOT come from Scrum.org. Be very careful citing other sources as it will lead people into error for the official Scrum.org exam. Other sources will tell you that Sprint 0 exists, aswell as hardening sprints, aswell as a “frozen” backlog” during sprints. The ONLY realiable sources are the scrum guide and Scrum.org.

      The correct answer is FALSE

  4. According to Scrum contributor Ian Mitchell

Release Sprint: Each sprint must result in a potentially releasable increment, regardless of the number of teams and deliverables involved in a release, so batch sizes of undelivered work can be minimized and controlled. A so-called Release Sprint would therefore be a contra-indication to agile practice.

  5. The correct answer is B – There’s no “Release Sprint” in Scrum. Every Sprint, the team works to create a product increment that the Product Owner may choose to release to prod. There’s no Release Sprint, the same way that there’s no “Testing or QA Sprint” in Scrum
