You network contains an Active Directory domain named contoso.com. The domain contains a DHCP server named Server1. All client computers run Windows 10 and are configured as DHCP clients.
Your helpdesk received calls today from users who failed to access the network from their Windows 10 computer.
You open the DHCP console as shown in the exhibit. (Click the Exhibit button.)

You need to ensure that all of the Windows 10 computers can receive a DHCP lease. Solution: You activate the scope.

  1. Question is little confusing. ‘Your helpdesk received calls today….’ means they ran into issue recently and in the past they appear did not have a network issue and DHCP scope was working (hence already activated)

    Wondering whether the DHCP scope can get deactivated by itself ?

    1. I work with two redundant DHCP servers. Sometimes when there is an error with second server it shuts down a scope or two randomly in production. When that happens I usually need to restart the servers to prevent it from happening again. It happens like once a year though.
