Your network contains an Active Directory domain named contoso.com. All the accounts of the users in the sales department are in an organizational unit (OU) named SalesOU.

  1. Create – creates a registry parameter. If the parameter already exists, the value does not change;

    Update (default) – If the parameter already exists, its value will update in accordance with the specified in the GPP. If not, a parameter with the specified value will be created;

    Replace – if the registry item already exists, delete and recreate registry item (rarely used);

    Delete – remove a registry key and all of its values and subkeys.

    Since “Replace” deletes and then recreates the value – I believe Microsoft prefers the UPDATE option

  2. To my assumption is when you need to “set” a registry value, the reg value exist already . So in this case you can use update or replace action.

    If the reg value, doesn’t exist, you have to use create
