    Step1: Ensure that the router and the FTP server have connectivity to one another.
    Step2: Copy the IOS image to the router.
    Step3: Validate that the correct IOS image is stored in NVRAM.
    Step4: Verify that the configuration register and boot variable are set correctly on the router.
    Step5: Save the running configuration of the router.
    Step6: Reload the router.
