  1. Omnidirectional means all degrees receive a copy of the wavelengths being added and all degrees send a copy of the wavelenghts to be dropped. How many degrees that is depends on the ROADM card (e.g. nLight 16-WXC-FS card can support 16 degrees with an upgrade port expansion to another card to support up to 32 degrees)
