  1. Not that I have supporting documentation for my belief but I think it is A. You’re going FROM a Layer 2 device TO a Layer 3 device and as “hisulley” pointed out, qos map configuration is on the switch.

  2. The equipment has to be a layer 3 device. A router is a layer 3 device. A switch can be layer 2 or layer 3.

    In other words, if a router is configured as a bride between ports, it would not be called a router at first place. yet, if a switch is not specially specified as a layer 3 switch, it is default referring to a layer 2 switch.

    that being said, B -> router is the correct answer.

    1. The Layer 2 header is stript off at the Router interface, therefore the mapping most be done as it leaves the Switch. It maps Cos value set in the 802.1Q/802.1P section to the TOS value in the Layer 3 header

      Therfore The Answer is A
