You discover that LON-DC02 is not a global catalog server. You need to configure LON-DC02 as a global catalog server. What should you do?
A. From the properties of the LON-DC02 computer account in Active Directory Users and Computers, modify the NTDS settings
B. From the Windows PowerShell, run the Enable-ADOptionalFeature cmdlet
C. From Active Directory Sites and Services, modify the NTDS Settings object of the London site
D. From the properties of the Domain Controllers organizational unit (OU) in Active Directory Users and Computers, modify the Security settings.

  1. Read carefully this question on exam.
You can do it via Site and Services but you need to expand in this case London Site -> Servers->LON-DC2 and open properties of NTDS Settings of this Domain Controller

    site also has NTDS settings

so if C would be like: From Active Directory Sites and Services, modify the LON-DC02 “Domain Controller NTDS Settings” object it would be correct

    Othe possibilities:
    – as wirtten in A
    – AdsiEdit in configuration

    1. Answer C is incorrect, since there is no “NTDS Settings” for a site.
You can use “Active Directory Users and Computers”, expand “Domain Controllers” OU, and right-click the LON-DC02 to select “Properties”, click “NTDS Setting” and enable Global Catalog server for a domain controller.

  2. @ Lukas, but still you make here changes to the NTDS settings of the Computer object. Therefor A is the correct answer

  3. Sorry, I not carefully read the answer. Just A is correct
in C answer “modify the NTDS Settings object of the London site” incorrect, because to make server to be Global Catalog we need modify the NTDS settings of of COmputer object, NOT A SITE!

    1. Within the Site object (Default-First-Site-Name), there is the “NTDS Site Settings” configuration. It is this option that alternative C is referring to. Therefore, only the letter A is correct!
