  1. Just a heads up, I just took this exam a few days ago and the “show ip eigrp topology” commands were disabled. Not really sure how to get the RD another way. Any ideas?

  2. This is a tricky question.
The right answer is the letter a. If you guys noticed the egress interface for that network is E0/1. So the AD or RD is the one reported from the neighbor’s perspective. So, issue the “show ip route” command in R3 and will notice that the FD distance to that network correspond to the RD reported to R1, which is 333056.

    You are welcome.

  3. A is correct.

As some of you mention “show ip route” won’t help us answer this as it will show de administrative distance(90)/Feasible distance(1810944).

To see the advertised distance(a.k.a. reported distance) we have to run the “show ip eigrp topology”.
This will show the feasible distance(1810944)/advertised distance(333056, not shown here).

“Although the “show ip eigrp topology” does not work in the exam but the “show ip eigrp 1 topology” does work so please use this command instead and we will find out the advertised distance on R1.

There are two parameters in the brackets of 192.168.46.0/24 prefix: (1810944/333056). The first one “1810944” is the Feasible Distance (FD) and the second “333056” is the Advertised Distance (AD) of that route -> A is correct.”

  4. Hi guys – this answer is wrong and very stressful when someone is preparing for the exam. The advertise distance CAN NOT be seen in the routing table – what is shown in the routing table is the feasable distance NOT the advertise distance.
To see the advertise distance, we can use the “show ip eigrp topology” command.

  5. On the , we are going to see the Feasible Distance.
On the command we will see the Feasible Distance and the advertised distance.

Jussi is right and I suggest you to follow this. In this question, I saw another response which mention that the response is: 333056

  6. Jussi,
    you are not right.

Advertised distance is the same as Reported Distance.

prefix (Feasible Distance/ Reported Distance). Both of the values are shown in “show ip route”.

  7. Advertised distance is not shown in the “show ip route” command. Number shown after the administrative distance is feasible distance.

You can find the advertised distance “show ip eigrp topology”.
