  1. I just mocked this up and the correct answer is 30. Apparently, with ISIS, the cost metric is assigned to the route when it is learned as an ISIS route. The router which hosts the 10.2.2.0/24 subnet shows the route as connected, so it doesn’t have an ISIS metric. One router hop away, the route 10.2.2.0/24 shows up as an ISIS route with a cost of 20. On the next router it has a cost of 30.

  2. If the default IS-IS cost is 10, then why would the answer not be 20? Where does the extra 10 come from?
