  1. D is correct, 2^7 subnet = 128 subnets, 2^9 hosts = 512 (510 hosts with 1 broadcast and 1 network address)

  2. D does not provide 100 Subnetworks with each containing 500 host addresses. It is only a /23-Network which is offering 500 host addresses for its own.
