  1. erm.. why would i do bottom up rather than divide and conquer starting around the middle (so Network/Transport) ?
    depending on the result i would then explore toward the bottom or up until it’s out of my “jurisdiction”

    Physical issue, would not only cause 1 and only one app to fail all of a sudden, so with this as the only hypothesis i would not jump first at a cable issue

    1. Because with a few commands you could easily see if it’s a L1 or L2 issue:
      Line down = L1
      Protocol down = L2

      It’s already in an order to make it easy for you
