The Daily Scrum is an event that happens every day. What would be three key concerns if the frequency were to be lowered to every two or three days?
(Choose three.)
A. Opportunities to insect and adapt the Sprint Backlog are lost.
B. Impediments are raised and resolved more slowly.
C. The Product Owner cannot accurately report progress to the stakeholders.
D. Too much work is spent updating the Scrum board before the meeting.
E. The Scrum Master loses the ability to update the Gantt chart properly.

A. The Scrum Master loses the ability to update the Gantt chart properly.
B. Impediments are raised and resolved more slowly.
C. The sprint backlog may becaose inaccurate
D. The product owner cannot accurately report progress to the stackeholders
E. Too much work is spend updating the scrum board before the meeting
F. Oppurtunities to inspect and adopt the Sprint backlog are lost
For this question correct is: BCF
D doesn’t look like an answer. This is why in my opinion:
From Scrum Guide:
“the Sprint Backlog is updated throughout the Sprint as more is learned. It should have enough detail that they can inspect their progress in the Daily Scrum.”
The information gathered through Daily Scrums would be useful for updating the board, but the updating is not done during the Daily Scrum. It’s done throughout the sprint.
So the amount of work being done updating the board (throughout the sprint), does not increase by a reduction in frequency of daily scrums. Since The daily scrum just gives you the information you need for the update.
ABD.
C: Product owner is not even required to attent to daily scrum
E: Scrum master has not a responsibility like this
C: It says nothing about the PO attending the Daily Scrum. But as one of the pilars of Scrum is transparency, if the Scrum Team has a good knowledge of the progress (and the Daily Scrum helps to this) the PO will have also.
D: The Sprint Backlog is updated as soon as a the changes occur. The update or review of the SB is not one of the objectives of the Daily Scrum.
Just wander why not ABC tho haha
Fxxk you mother, how it release to C ah?”?
A – Inspect & adapt opportunity is reduced and Not lost
B – we all agree for this so no explanation required
C – PO can be an attende (not participant) to the standup. He/She can take away the key messages for meetings with stakeholders
D – Scrum board will be stale when not updated for 2-3 days and would need to be updated to reflect the latest status for an effective standup. Hence, definitely a concern for the team
E – Scrum is Empirical and not predictive hence there’s no place for Gantt chart in the framework
Answer is BCD
ACB

E. The Scrum Master loses the ability to update the Gantt chart properly.
F. The Sprint plan may become inaccurate.
Correct Answer: ABF
I saw the F option in this form:
F. The Sprint Backlog may become inaccurate.
However, it should not change your correct answer that I agree with.
What would be the answer if one more choice is added such as:
F. The Sprint plan may become inaccurate.
The ABC are the only acceptable answers here, but the question refers to the daily scrum, and since there´s nothing related to the presence of the product owner in the daily scrum on the scrum guide, I don´t know why we are assuming that he´s there to check progress and being able to report to the stakeholders. The only thing I know is that the development team is accountable for the sprint progress and remaining work. In my opinion this question should only has to possible correct answers. But let´s focus on what we have.
Yes, ABC – ARE the correct answers here
The question is incomplete. The following answers are given
A The Scrum Master loses the ability to update the Gantt Chart properly.
B The Sprint Plan may become inaccurate.
C Too much work is spent updating the Scrum board before the meeting.
D The Product Owner cannot accurately report progress to the stakeholders.
E Impediments are raised and resolved more slowly.
F Opportunities to inspect and adapt the Sprint Backlog are lost.
BEF are the correct answers. (in my list here)
The PO will not report progress during a sprint to stakeholders. The progress is made transparent in the sprint review for all stakeholders that are interested. So the option C of the options in the original question is indeed false.
You are confusing every-one by placing the answers in a different order. The question DOES exist with the answers proposed. I had exactly these ones in the exam, so the answers proposed ARE the right ones.
I had the question in the exam AS IS proposed in the question stated, so just because you had different options, it doesn’t mean that the answers proposed are incorrect !!!!
I confirm the correct answers ARE : ABC , as stated
IF the answers proposed are the ones in your list. I do totally agree however
While it is true that the Dev team is only necessary for Daily Scrum, the reason that PO attends is to get updated on progress.
The reason why C is correct is that D and E are both definitely not true statements. The Dev team being the only necessary participants, it is not needed to update the Scrum board before the meeting is not a requirement, and also it is not needed to update the Gantt chart. These may be helpful for teams do but definitely not concerning if not.
Thank you
Going by your logic, if Gantt chart and updating Scrum Board are not needed, neither does the attendance of the PO at daily scrum.
Why C ? (The Product Owner is not in the Daily Scrum, the development team might be updating JIRA or whatever correctly).
