The corporate WAN has been extended to two newly acquired sites and it includes gatekeeper support. Each site has a Cisco CallManager and an H.323 gateway that allows connection to the PSTN. Which connection method is best for these two new customers?
A. H.225 trunk (gatekeeper-controlled)
B. intercluster trunk (non-gatekeeper controlled)
C. SIP trunk
D. intercluster trunk (gatekeeper-controlled)
I have to say D is probably the better answer here. The H.225 trunk is really for connecting the H.323 gateway or CUCM to the gatekeeper. This doesnt say you are doing that. This says you are extending the WAN to the new sites that have their own CUCMs. If you are connecting to a CUCM, I would use the intercluster trunk for that.
The answer is A.

H.225 Trunk (Gatekeeper Controlled)
In a H.323 network that uses gatekeepers, use an H.225 trunk with gatekeeper control to configure a connection to a gatekeeper for access to other Cisco CallManager clusters and to H.323 devices.
