  1. Cisco Transport Controller is an on-demand Java-based app that runs in a client browser. The client browser is on an operator laptop/PC. No gathered statistics/analysis is saved in this scenario. (Cisco Prime Optical is the centralized version that can actually save data/stats/analysis/reports.) (Note: There is also a legacy app originally intended for the legacy ONS 15454 platforms, called StartCTC.exe, which is an application that runs on a PC… so that choice is sort-of, kind-of, maybe also correct depending on how you look at it, but not really the intended “Cisco way” for CTC these days. The on-demand Java-based app in a browser answer is the more correct answer.)
