2. I think the key is that they are referring to e-commerce sites, which desire to obtain your PII for advertising / sales. That is why the “Personally Identifiable Information” is the MOST important to consider. If you give our your phone number or e-mail to a website, you may be receiving spam email & calls for years to come.
