This question seems to vague to be able to be fairly critiqued. WAP obviously not since it asks for a wired solution, and bridge does not make sense, but why would hub not be a legitimate answer?
I believe because they want people to understand that most of the time, a switch is preferable to a hub. A hub can get the job done, but a switch routes traffic in a more intelligent manner, which is better for the network.
