  1. A or C? Data can be encrypted in one of three states: at rest, in use, and in transit. The question suggests encryption of DATA IN TRANSIT (“user needs to TRANSMIT confidential information”) and asks which encryption method “should be used to encrypt THE MESSAGE” – messages are sent and received, so again implies DATA IN TRANSIT. But AES is used to encrypt DATA AT REST. SSL and TLS are used to protect DATA IN TRANSIT, but SSL is insecure and replaced by TLS. But TLS is not an optional answer. So I’m going to take a leap of faith and assume that the message should be first encrypted AT REST using AES, then encrypted IN TRANSIT with SSL/TLS. SSL/TLS uses RSA Asymmetric Encryption Algorithm to establish a secure client-server session and Symmetric Encryption Algorithm to exchange information securely over the established secured session. Uncertain about the correct answer here,

    1. You are correct. But then again, the exam will always want you to choose the best answer. SSL can now be considered obsolete because of TLS, therefore we can already eliminate this. I choose A.
