These are useful questions but there are quite a few mistakes. learn your stuff, use this as practice or to put your mind at ease that you do in face know the material. DO NOT SIMPLY ANSWER QUESTIONS AND ASSUME YOU KNOW THE STUFF, YOU WILL FAIL.
I am really hoping this isn’t an actual test question… To make a crossover cable you switch green and green white (pins 1 and 2) with orange and orange white (3 and 6) on one end of the cable.. so t568a on one end and t568b on the other… so I guess the answer would be 1 and 2 but the way it is worded it really odd… good thing I actually studied for the test.. lmao…

If you study, you can spot the wrong answers. This should not be for learning the subject or worse, as a ‘cheat sheet’ for the exam. You will fail. This should be used to confirm your knowledge. There are many wrong answers here, I just point out a few. I read a comment of someone complaining that they didn’t see one question on the test…That’s called a cheater that didn’t study and lost $200 on a failed test….Don’t be that person and study hard. Plus employers can spot the fakes a mile away with pre-employment testing.
Yeah, glad for this site, because the internet generally regurgitates all the same Qs and As. So even though you are sure you are right and the “official” answer is wrong, you look and see EVERY other website has the same wrong answer! You start to doubt, what am I missing? Then you find a site with comments, and you can see that you were in fact RIGHT! So very glad for the study websites with COMMENTS for each Q. Thank you!
For 10/100 you switch 1 and 3, 2 and 6
For 1000 you switch 1 and 3, 2 and 6, 4 and 8, 5 and 7
2 pair (4 wires) are used for 10/100 communication
4 pair (all 8 wires) are used for 1000 communication
Soooo switching 1 pair of the wrong wires will do what?
With out know the speed and taking into consideration 2 and 4 are not related in any reversals….This question is nonsense!
Use these questions to test and confirm your knowledge but don’t try to learn from them or worse yet try to memorize for the test…you will fail.
