Select and Place:
Table1: disk based table
Table2: memory optimized non durable table
At least that is what I think the exam people will want to hear. In practice I would choose disk storage for table 2 as well because I don’t know when the rows go from staging into DWH from this table. 5 (minutes) * 12 *24 * 1000000 = 288.000.000 (assuming every 5 minutes at least one csv file contains a million rows). I would not feel comfortable about my server’s stability when this much (or even more) data has to stay in memory for I don’t know how long..
So in the real world: disk storage for both tables
