  1. The correct asnwers for this ARE D and E.
Those are the only two options where MTP’s are not only not required, dont work.

    D.Delayed Offer
This is what is used when MTP fails, therefore would not use an MTP.

    E. Multicast MoH
MTP’s do NOT support multicast. End of Line.

    1. Unfortunately this is one of those GOTCHA Cisco questions.

I stand by the answers D and E as being correct.
They are the only two that dont have any requirements for MTP resources.

      D. SIP Delayed Offer
Delayed offer is what happens when an MTP resource allocation fails, so it definitely doesnt use MTP.

If Unified CM determines that an MTP needs to be inserted but no MTP resources are available, it uses the setting of the service parameter Fail call if MTP allocation fails to decide whether or not to allow the call to proceed. This service parameter is set to a default value of False. With this default configuration, an incoming call on a SIP Early Offer trunk would result in an outbound Delayed Offer.

      E. Multicast MoH
MTP does not support Multicast. End of Line

Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) and media termination point (MTP) devices do not support the multicast Music On Hold feature. If you configure CTI or MTP devices with a multicast MoH device in the media resource group list of the CTI device, call control issues may result. CTI and MTP devices do not support multicast media streaming.
