In your role as network security administrator, you have installed syslog server software on a server whose IP address is 10.10.2.40. According to the exhibits, why isn’t the syslog server receiving any syslog messages?
A. Logging is not enabled globally on the Cisco ASA.

C. There have not been any events with a severity level of seven.
D. The Cisco ASA is not configured to log messages to the syslog server at that IP address.

  1. I agree with Joe, it would be good to see a screenshot of the “LOGGING_FILTERS” section to see how it is set up.
Depending on the presence or not of a filter, and of what it filters, the answer might be C or D instead.

Filter blocks all? Then I choose D.
Filter only allows Debug messages to be sent to Syslog Server (nothing higher and nothing lower)? Then I choose C.

  2. If the logging filters is disabled for the syslog servers then syslog messgaes wlll not get send to the syslog server even it is enabled globally and syslog servers are specified. if this is the this case then correct answer is D.
