  1. I’ve just tested in lab. From the output we can see:
    local id (PE1): 5
    remote id (PE?): 3
without adding: remote-site-id 3 under the interface ge-4/0/0.512 it won’t work.
    So the answer is A.

  2. Correct Answer is – “B”

Explanation as in Juniper BGPL2VPNS document as below –

Site: The site identifier is configured as an argument to the site statement. The site
identifier must be unique among all sites making up a Layer 2 VPN as the site ID is used
when PE routers compute the label values for site-to-site communications. The
Junos OS does not support a site ID of 0; site identifiers normally are assigned
contiguously starting with site ID 1.

In this example you can see the output of command #sh l2vpn connection , shows that remote site id is 3, so get the configs working in exhibition shown you need to set local site identifier as 3.

  3. should be C, as remote site id is 3, local id should not be 3 then. OR means remote side could accept site id < 5 which derive the answer.

  4. should be C, as remote site id is 3, local id should not be 3 then. OR means remote side could accept site id <= 5 which derive the answer.

  5. Guys, after testing, the question is confusing.

When status = OR, it means the remote site ID matches, but local site ID does not.

In this case, the status definitely can’t be OR, as remote site ID is 1 by default. The status can only be CN.
