Both A & B are correct, but it asks for the main advantage and that is speeds up the backup process. Also it reduces impact of backup and replication activities on the production environment and improve RPOs.
But besides speeding up the backup process with storage snapshots, VMware vSphere snapshot exists for a very short time. Delta files do not grow large, and the time of VMware vSphere snapshot commit decreases.
