Scenario: The XenApp farm consists of two zones each located in a different datacenter. Last night, the network team conducted maintenance on the firewalls and this morning, the administrator discovers that load balancing is NOT working.     access-list 102 deny tcp any any eq 2512
    access-list 102 deny tcp any any eq 1494
    access-list 102 permit tcp any any eq 2598
    access-list 102 permit tcp any any eq 80
    access-list 102 permit tcp any any eq 1433
    access-list 102 permit tcp any any eq 1161
    Basically we’re looking at the deny 2512 (IMA) and 1494 (ICA/HDX)

    Only choice available is A – IMA

  2. A: Old school IMA is the backbone of Citrix Independent Management Architecture (IMA) provides the framework for server communications and is the management foundation for MetaFrame Presentation Server.

    1. XML is for enumeration, but if XA in one zone is without users it will be IMA issue.
      You can still use XML enumeration from the zone that working but it will not send the ICA connection to the XA servers with the IMA problem.
