A solution designer is creating a custom action in C# for IBM Datacap Taskmaster Capture. In addition to creating the RRX file, what is required to create a C# action?
A. Create a DLL.
B. Create and register a DLL.
C. The use of multiple string parameters.
D. Associate the C# file with a DCO object.
Correct Answer: B
Explanation/Reference:
This is standard Visual Studio stuff, but…
B is correct.
A isn’t correct because just having a custom DLL doesn’t do anything. It needs to have an entry point and must be registered on the server or workstation executing the code.
C isn’t correct because strings don’t do anything by themselves. They need code to use the strings.
D isn’t correct because you can’t directly reference a C# file in anything (not just Datacap). It has to be compiled code for runtime execution (i.e. a DLL, an EXE, etc.)
