  1. Monday = 10 AM to 12 PM > 2hr
    Wednesday = 4 PM to 9 PM > 5hr
    Thursday = 4 PM to 7 PM > 3 hr
    Friday = 3 PM to 6 PM > 3hr
    Saturday (ignore)
    Total downtime > 13 hr
    availability = {(60-13)/60}*100= 78.3%

    1. Small correction:

      wed = 4PM to 8PM must be considered. Because the ports must be operational only 8AM – 8PM.

      then,
      Mon-2hr + Wed-4hr + Thur-3hr + Fri-3hr —> Downtime=12hrs
      Availability= [(60-12)/60]*100 =80%

      That makes opt D a correct answer:)

  2. my answer is B
    8 Am – 8 PM Monday to friday = 12 x 5 = 60 hours
    total downtime = 17 hours
    60 – 17 = 43
    so 43/60 x 100 % = count yourself

    1. not quite right bro..
      here i corrected the answer for you
      8 Am – 8 PM Monday to friday = 12 x 5 = 60 hours
      total downtime = 13 hours (dont you count the saturday)
      60 – 13 = 47
      so 47/60 x 100 % = count yourself

      i am the same person btw

  3. its actually 83.3% Mon – Fri saturday is not included (10 hours down time) (60-10=50) divided by 60 total available is 83.3%

  4. Why you counting 12hrs of downtime?
    I count 18hrs:
    Monday: 10AM – 12PM = 10 hours of downtime ( as uptime should be till 8PM)
    Wed = 2
    Thur = 3
    Fri = 3

    So its 18hours, so A with 70% is correct.

  5. I also get 80% but different logic. 12 hr operation window for 5 days is 60 hours. 12 hours of downtime during the operation window is 20% downtime or 80% availability.
