B. Open the list of Update Sets for the instance
C. Examine the Application Files Related List in the application to be published
D. Open the artifact records individually to verify the value in the Application field

If application is synced with source control/repository, Customer Updates are gone from Default Update Set hence B is not valid.
I think should be C
I’ve seen this question a lot over the last few weeks as I’ve been revising ready for the exam. Most websites say B but it is definitely C.
