Referring to the exhibit, which configuration must be set on R2 to from a Level 1 IS-IS adjacency with R1?
A. SetinterfacesloO unit 0familyiso address 49.0001.3415.0010.0250.0000.0046.00
B. Setinterfaces loO unit 0familyiso address 49.0002.3414.0010.0250.0000.0046.00
C. Setinterfaces loO unit 0familyiso address 49.0002.3415.0010.0250.0000.0046.00
D. Setinterfaces loO unit 0familyiso address 49.0001.3414.0010.0250.0000.0046.00
I did lab with two routers
one router has NET 49.0001.3414.0010.0250.0000.0045.00, another with 49.0001.3415.0010.0250.0000.0046.00
as result adjacency betwen two routers is not up.
output from trace:
ERROR: IIH from 0250.0000.0046 with no matching areas
local area 49.0001.3414.0010
area address 49.0001.3415.0010
answer D is correct!
NET addresses range from 8 octets to 20 octets in length. This case area ID is 49.0001.3414.0010 and configured the same int R2 to form a L1 Adj. D is correct
but area id are only the 4 digits after the 49. Other 3 groups of 4 digits are for the system ID and the last group of 2 digits are the selector (for private ISIS net address it is 00)
Soooo, the correct answer is A (should have different system ID)
https://www.juniper.net/documentation/en_US/junos/topics/concept/is-is-routing-overview.html
area id is only 0001. so answer a is correct.
the question is not correct as we dont have full net address.
correct D
To form a L1 Adj between two Routers their must to be in the same area so the correct answer have to be -D-
totally agree with you Demha
