  1. not sure about this one. Encapsulation will have to occur lower down the model. Application and presentation are above layer 4 which rules them out. Transport is L4. I think L3 adds an ip header and encapsulation occors at L2 in the ethernet frame. So suggest answer is B – data-link.

    1. Ignore the above. The question is not well-phrased. The answer they are looking for is A. Transport – the question would be better phrased as ‘where does encapsulation of tcp traffic begin…’ – which is what they are really looking for.
