Which of the following statements about a port on a switch is/are false?
A. If the port receives data frames without VLAN tags, the switch needs to add VLAN tag 200.
B. If the VLAN tag carried in a data frame is 100, the switch removes the VLAN tag and sends the frame.
C. The link type of the port is trunk.
D. The port cannot send data frames carrying VLAN tag 200.
should be “B”. If frame has vlan tag 100, switch will send the frame without removing the tag.
why correct answer is “C”, should be “D”. In config there is “port link-type trunk” which means “the link type of the port is trunk” so it`s true.
beka, the port pvid is 200 so it will send frames with the 200 pvid vlan… and actually this will be untagged when forwarding while the 100 will be tagged….since its a trunk link thus C is the only correct answer.
