Based on the output below from SwitchB, Which Statement is True?
A. VLAN 40 is running the per VLAN Spanning Tree Protocol
B. The Fa0/11 role confirms that SwitchB is the root bridge for VLAN 40
C. SwitchB is not the root bridge, because not all of the interface roles are designated
D. The MAC Address of the root bridge is 0017:596d.1580
Correct answer : C
Since Fa0/11 & Fa0/12 port roles are not shown as Designated ( Desg ).
below link has an example of a switch which is a root bridge for a Vlan.
Example 3-13 : verifying the Vlan10 is using RSTP :
https://books.google.com.au/books?id=jhgwDwAAQBAJ&pg=PT255&lpg=PT255&dq=Verifying+That+VLAN+10+Is+Using+RSTP&source=bl&ots=DXHfgKcYHU&sig=ACfU3U1RXLdWxs_i1TNuxK7HNxN1OJbZ6A&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiOgoLzx6TnAhXOTX0KHbWrAIwQ6AEwAHoECAgQAQ#v=onepage&q=Verifying%20That%20VLAN%2010%20Is%20Using%20RSTP&f=false
For people who need more explanation why C is the right answer:
A. False -It can been seen in the exhibit the switch is running rstp
B. False – If it was the root for VLAN 40, all ports would be forwarding.
C. True – As per answer
D. False – The MAC address of the root bridge is: 0017.2935.6418. This is lower than the other MAC address, hence the reason its the root.

this is the right answe and with expl.
Shouldn’t the answer be ‘C’? A root bridge would have all it’s ports in designated and this is not the case in this example which would mean answer is C. Please confirm.
