The organization’s security manager wishes to back up just the Gaia operating system parameters. Which command can be used to back up only Gaia operating system parameters like interface details, Static routes and Proxy ARP entries?
A. show configuration
B. backup
C. migrate export
D. upgrade export
Correct Answer: B
Explanation/Reference:
Explanation: 3. System Backup (and System Restore)
System Backup can be used to backup current system configuration. A backup creates a compressed file that contains the Check Point configuration including the networking and operating system parameters, such as routing and interface configuration etc., but unlike a snapshot, it does not include the operating system, product binaries, and hotfixes.

“A” is the correct answer, because with “show configuration” command, we backup Gaia operating system parameters like interface details, Static routes AND “Proxy ARP entries”

Correct: A
It says only Gaia operating parameters, not all configuration.
So I think the correct answer is A.
proxy arp. why dont you try once before you said a
go figure where proxy arp is stored and what show config shows.
“add arp proxy ipv4-address 10.6.5.4 interface eth8”
this line is present in “show configuration” output… i think A
$FWDIR/conf/local.arp also stores proxy ARP, but it says ONLY GAIA, which means Checkpoint FW OS layer is not there, there fore not the backup but just the show configuration or save configuration file.
