  1. the default settings are Automatic combined with Local Service. However, if to make a logic out of the answer provided above; Network Services provides better security and stops the system getting compromised.

  2. I don’t think these answer are correct. If you check multiple functional computers to see what their print spooler service is set to by default they are not set to these parameters. They are set to automatic for the startup type and Local Service for the permissions. And that’s with a network printer or local printer installed.
