  1. The correct Answer is C:
The below information came directly from 210-255 Official Cert Guide page 94

The journal is the most used part of the disk, making the blocks that form part
of it more prone to hardware failure. One of the features of Ext4 is that it
checksums the journal data to know if the journal blocks are failing or
becoming corrupted. Journaling ensures the integrity of the file system by
keeping track of all disk changes, but it introduces a bit of overhead.

  2. C. The journal is the most used part of the disk, making the blocks that form part of it more prone to hardware failure.

You put too many things inside a box, it gets crowded and heavy and therefore prone to damage.

  3. it’s about the blocks that where the journal resides, so C is correct.

Also, It won’t make hardware failure less prone, but it will safeguard against corrupt data because of failure.

  4. It says that the answer is C, but i’m curious about the word “MORE” prone to hardware failure.
Isn’t it Journaling keeps track of the tasks that are committed and not yet committed in the system?
So for example you were transferring files and power went out suddenly, so what you were doing will no be lost because of journaling as it knows where it stopped.

so the answer should be B, as the keyword “LESS” prone to hardware failure.

correct me if im wrong. thanks!
