  1. do you know what is private vlans? theire are not regulare vlans for vsan aand vmotion traffic separation, private vlans are wrong choice, we do private vlans to prevente any IP on this vlan to connect to an other ip on the same vlan 🙂 , that mean vmotion / vsan and management that they need to be ssing each other ( on the same vlan) is not a choice to put private vlan.

  2. BCD

The questions ask “Which three choices can the architect use to keep the traffic separated?” and states “the number of required networks is greater that the number of physical ports”

Since we seem to need to go into semantics on this exam (and not focus on design) I would say that, if you’re going to choose to “Combine vMotion, Management, and vSAN to one VMkernel port” it means you’ve got more than 1 port available, since its a choice.

Since you’ve got a choice, i.e. there is more than one port, it is not recommended to combine all the vmkernel ports onto 1 NIC since you’ve got more than 1.

I’m also a little suspicious of option C. It’s not likely that you can simply ‘choose’ to buy better hardware.

Really not impressed with VMware’s exam.

  3. A can be excluded as types of traffic must be kept separated.
B, C and D are all valid option to keep traffic separated
