  1. it literally says “restore from backup”
so if restore from backup ..you need to use the installer again.

    answer: D

note: if you only want to backup the vCSA , then use the vCSA Mgmt interface

  2. It says restore.. you can take backup from VAMI but you need to use installer to restore the taken backup

  3. @r

The link you reference literally states: “you can restore it by using the GUI installer of the appliance” thereby making D the correct answer.

  4. D

From the article linked by “r” : You can use the vCenter Server Appliance GUI installer to restore a vCenter Server Appliance to an ESXi host or a vCenter Server instance. The restore procedure has two stages. The first stage deploys a new vCenter Server Appliance. The second stage populates the newly deployed vCenter Server Appliance with the data stored in the file-based backup

    1. it is D.
The same link provided says you can take back up from interface but restore is from the installer GUI.

    2. D is the correct answer. In vSphere 6.5, you can use the vCenter Server Appliance Management Interface to create a file-based backup of the vCenter Server Appliance and Platform Services Controller appliance. After you create the backup, you can restore it by using the GUI installer of the appliance.

    3. According to your link, the backup is done by vCenter Server Appliance Management Interface. The restoration is done by using the GUI installer of the appliance.
