Answer A
CCSE SG Page 414
Number of Cores Number of Kernel Instances
1 CoreXL is disabled
2 2
4 3
6 – 20 (Number of CPU cores) – 2
More than 20 (Number of CPU cores) – 4
No more than 40 total.
Everyone didnt get the question: it is asking what is the MINIMUM required TO ENABLE (It is not asking if it is by default), therefore the given answer is correct, which is one.
Refer to the Performance Tuning Guide PDF of CheckPOint
Opps, my bad, you indeed need two. I tried it with a VM. the cpconfig option on a single core does not display CoreXL related settings
minimum 2 Core
1 CPU Core CoreXL is disabled
R80:
1 core: CoreXL is disabled
CoreXL is used from 2 cores
