Correct is B stop replying without knowledge
Another stupid question
I think B is most “correct” here.
On Main Security Management Server (‘SMS’) that manages SmartEvent
Connect with SmartDashboard to the Main Security Management Server (‘SMS’).
Go to ‘Manage’ menu – click on ‘Network Objects…’.
Click on ” button – select ‘Check Point’ – click on ‘Host…’.
This object will represent the External Security Management Server / externally managed Log Server:
Assign the name ‘Ext_SMS’.
Assign the IPv4 address 10.0.0.3
Go to the ‘Management’ tab – check the box ‘Logging & Status’.
Do NOT establish SIC for this object.
Click on ‘OK’ to create the object.
Click on ‘Close’ to close the ‘Network Objects…’ window.
Save the changes: go to ‘File’ menu – click on ‘Save’.
Yes, we are doing OPSEC applicaton, but thee is a place in the procedure where you explicitly asked not to do SIC.
SIC is require to configure for externally managed log server

An externally managed Log Server is managed by a different Security Management Server than the one that manages the SmartEvent Server. An external Security Management Server is not the one that manages the SmartEvent Server. We don’t know which SMS the question asks about.

When you add the Check Point Host object SIC should NOT be configured. However, it is necessary to configure SIC between the two domains when the OPSEC application is created.
NAT is not configured in the SK but might be necessary in some situations.
FQDN is not necessary but possible.
I would choose B
I believe the answer is C bro
Yes, it is an externally managed log server, but if you want to see logs from that externally managed server (assuming it is managed by another SMS) from your own SMS, then you need to establish SIC between them (requires a special config but SIC is still required.
