Which deployment strategy should the architect use for NetScaler and StoreFront to ensure that the solution reduces management overhead without incurring additional costs?

Scenario: A Citrix Architect is using LDAP as single-factor authentication. The architect is migrating the environment to Citrix Cloud and wants to retain the same authentication procedure for XenApp and XenDesktop service in Citrix Cloud.
Which deployment strategy should the architect use for NetScaler and StoreFront to ensure that the solution reduces management overhead without incurring additional costs?
A. Use Citrix Cloud NetScaler Gateway service and on-premises StoreFront.
B. Set up a new NetScaler VPX instance and StoreFront on-premises.
C. Use Citrix Cloud NetScaler Gateway service and Citrix Cloud Workspace.

  1. Its A. We use storefront locally and use cloud gateway. We get authentication prompts 24/7 when coming in via Citrix cloud where we use Azure AD (but ldap works fine internally). The only way to stop that is to have storefronts in our own DMZ or use Federated Authentication Service (FAS).

  2. Another asinine question. They may be trying to emphasize on the keyword authentication “Procedure” which is username and password. Using the cloud gateway service with workspace service would allow the user to authenticate with the user name and password.

  3. These questions where written by people who have no experience and don’t know what they are talking about. THERE IS NO CORRECT ANSWER!
    A. Is wrong because the cloud gateway is basically a legacy CSG (citrix secure gateway) running on a windows server in Citrix’s azure Tenant. Storefront uses AD authentication via XML

    B. is wrong because while a VPX can use ldap it says deploy it on prem

C: is wrong because neither support ldap

d: This is probably the best answer even though it is also very wrong and not not emphasize “citrix cloud service”

  4. Use Citrix Cloud NetScaler Gateway service and Citrix Cloud Workspace ->you can use active directory authentication

  5. A is wrong because we can´t use CG Services with SF on premises.
D is wrong because the environment is being migrated to Citrix Cloud, so, the storefront can´t be on Public Cloud.
I think LDAP is not support on Citrix Gateway Services, so, the only option is B. CG and SF on premises.

  6. i think D is correct
LDAP is configured on citrix gateway. So, just a CG on-premises solve the problem.
