  1. Its B – electromagnetic interference from the inner sheaths of the CAT cable being damaged and exposing the individual copper wiring. related to shielded twisted pair CAT 5 cable.

  2. I think that the author of this question or the one giving the answer was not really familiar with the subject…
    Answer C is obviously wrong.
    1. Excessive collisions have to do with the CSMA/CD and are related to duplex settings as well as the amount of devices that share the medium (in the case above it’s ethernet).
You can learn more about it from Cisco >> https://www.econfigs.com/ccna-2-3-troubleshoot-interface-and-cable-issues-collisions-errors-duplex-speed/.
Similar questions may be encountered on CCNA Exam.
    2. Split pair is simply wrong wiring. There are 2 standards for ethernet T568A and T568B you can look that for that one if you wish to see how many pairs and how connected are pairs in your ethernet cable.
    3. Electromagnetic interference could occur if you would keep PC in a Microwave, so that’s not the case here. Unless the poet forgot to mention that in this brilliant question…
    4. so yeah, that’s the cross-talk. Cross-talk is the unintended behavior during which traffic in one circuit interferes with the traffic in another circuit. So the poet probably meant broken insulation.

  3. yeah unexpected question. If I understand correclty. Basically ask why the cable broke. well I found this question at some other places and the answer was the same
