  1. OS’s can be locked down and stripped of rights, tools, privledges.
    Typically Admins are using servers and not everyday users. People who should know how to work an IT system.
    Physical restriction meaning no one can plug something in the computer, pull out a cord, or shoulder surf while you put in your PW to the console.

  2. Windows examples: when you have a Windows Server OS and a Trained Operator you can indeed have a secure system (B and C). But it is rare to find such a combination with Windows Home users. On the other side, physical access to a Windows Server OS should be restricted and it is almost done all the time in medium to big organizations (D).
