A. abort the procedure and restart
B. skip over the empty slots and proceed to the next step
C. return an error message, disconnect, and restart

  1. CTC Automatic Node Setup (ANS) takes an NE Update Configuration file (in XML format) that was exported from Cisco Transport Planner (CTP) at the completion of the design phase. CTP would have already known which cards will be populated in which slots of the chassis as part of the design process. Therefore, the NE file will contain info about which cards are expected to be in which slots (as well as in-depth designed port and optical characteristics), and CTC ANS will learn from the NE file. If those cards are not yet installed in the chassis, ANS will preprovision the slots with the expected card so it will be ready when the card is installed.
