True, answer is A because there is other questions which ask about TOOL to mantein access.
“After try many exploits” –> That means was not easy, therefore the first thing is create a User account, and by the way, following the book of James Bolton with 700+ questions for CEH, is the same, A is correct.
Correct answer is A. Create User Account because it is asking “To ensure you maintain access, what would you do first?”
It is not asking about any tool to maintain access.
Actually question are very tricky.
Sometime they ask the similar question and but ask about tool to maintain access which is not the case here.
So answer A is correct.
There is no split opinion. The answer must be Install Netcat….
The correct answer is sure D. I found this guide that explain better this reason:
https://www.tutorialspoint.com/kali_linux/kali_linux_maintaining_access.htm
Download and Install Netcat should be the answer. Because A is ONLY “Create User Account”, not Admin account. That’s why I keep repeating myself, this course is a SKILL Base Course, not English course. They should phrase it properly.
does anyone know the right answer to this one, as there are split opinions ?
They both are right installing Netcat is a process that needs to be done to maintain access. According to EC_Council steps of hacking after gaining access is definitely maintaining access which is done by installing trojans, backdoors, rootkits…
I agree with my fried. D is correct. Google it!
Also if you open an encrypted connection you will be safer from detection, but if you create a new account eyebrows might be raised.
There is a question before this asking “what tool you should install first” – that question is probably clearer and unambiguous.
Wrong answer. It has to be Netcat.
