  1. I also checked Windows Update only because I know that OS makes Restore point before every update and every update checks for drivers and everything.

  2. You would use system restore to create a restore point. You know.. just incase it’s broken and you gotta revert back drivers, or run into any other issues.

    1. You’re right, the correct answer is technically system restore but the question is vague/misleading either on purpose or because of ineptitude. Saying you would be “using” system restore sort of implies that you’d be actually restoring the system. Best practices state that you should CREATE A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT before installing new hardware. That would be a more accurate answer. This question is extremely poorly written and should definitely be removed from the test.

  3. I don’t understand why “System Restore” is the answer? Why would it not be Windows Updates? They are installing new hardware. Would one not make sure the system is up to date before the install?
