In this model the WLCs are located throughout the campus network, typically on a per building basis, to manage the APs that are resident in the given building. The WLCs are connected to the campus network by way of the distribution layer switches within each building. In this scenario the CAPWAP tunnels between the APs and the WLC stay within each building.”
