HSRP for IPv4 is supported on switches running the IP base or IP services image.
HSRPv2 can use a group number from 0 to 4095 and a MAC address from 0000.0C9F.F000 to 0000.0C9F.FFFF.
HSRPv2 has a different packet format than HRSPv1.
The virtual IP and mac is only used by the active router, but is shared between HSRP router group, so if active fail the standby router take over the same Virtual IP / MAC
the virtual mac is only used by the active router
