  1. I would possibly err on the side of the disconnected fans on this one as the question suggests it ran longer the first time and then quit quickly after this. It could be a number of other options but its trying to narrow it down to your choices listed and the likely one so I agree with both views but would side with Magikarp and the correct answer.

  2. If you simply forgot to connect the case fans the computer will run for much longer than a few MINUTES. If you forgot to apply thermal paste, the CPU will shut down far quicker than if you forgot to turn on your case fans.

    1. The fact that it’s running for a few minutes means the best answer in this scenario is that the case fans are not connected. No thermal paste would’ve wiped out that CPU chip (instantly overheat) and not run at all anymore.

      Answer = B
