Before configuring the device to run IPv6 RIP, globally enable IPv6 using the ipv6 unicast-routing
command in global configuration mode, and enable IPv6 on any interfaces on which IPv6 RIP is to be
enabled.
If you want to set or change a global value, follow steps 1 and 2, and then use the optional ipv6 router
rip command in global configuration mode.
