VTP client mode – operates without the ability to delete VLANs
VTP pruning – removes VTP information from unknown unicast traffic on the VLAN
VTP server mode – enables the administrator to set VTP version for all switches in the domain
VTP transparent mode – forward VTP advertisements out of a trunk port
VTP version 1 – supports Ethernet VLANs only
