  1. tricky … I think the answer is D

Endpoints normaly set cos and ip precedence … but not a fully dscp value with all possible bits. Or?

  2. see question 44
Where are DSCP values applied to video traffic?
    A. DSCP can be set only on.……..

  3. After really digging around, I digress and agree with D being the correct answer.
Findings: CUCM settings in Service Parameters and even on the device itself only MARKS the DSCP values. These can be set at anything, no precedence to full Explicit Forwarding, but it doesnt matter what they are set at until they hit the network, when the packets reach the switchport. The switch is configured with QoS, and that is where all the DSCP markings are examined and the DSCP is APPLIED (key word here).

I compare this to Disney Park mentality. You can have a Fast Pass for Splash Mountain (your marking), but it doesnt matter until you get to the ride and hit the entrance, where your pass is checked (this would be the switchport). The entrance employee is instructed by the system that fast passes are only good from X time to X time (the switchport configuration).

  4. This falls into one of the many flaky vague Cisco questions.

I personally think none of these answers truly work based on how the answers are worded.
    A. You cant configure DSCP in the device configuration settings in CUCM (also vague on what a “device” is)
    B. Endpoints dont override DSCP values
    C. You CAN configure the DEFAULT DSCP (still a configuration in my book) in the Service Parameters in CUCM but Expressway configures differently under System >> Quality of Service (also still a configuration).
    D. with being able to change DSCP values when passing through the above systems, that automatically discounts this
    answer
    E. This is wrong since you can set it in other places.

I personally think C is the closest answer

  5. This question confuses me, if you ask for the DSCP values for video calls, the answer should be AF41 (DSCP 34).
